Baptisms at S. Margaret’s

 

Anyone who lives in the parish can request to be baptised in S. Margaret’s Church, however there are certain preparations before this takes place. The first step in the process is to come along to the Parish Office in the Canon George Hall on a Thursday evening at 6:30 (please check on the Canon George Hall  web page to ensure the office is open on the day).

Baptisms normally take place on the first Sunday of the month and you should have a confirmed date before you make arrangements for party venues.

In the case of emergency i.e. A child with a life threatening condition please contact Fr. David or Fr. Simon direct.

 

Getting Married at S. Margaret’s Church

 

To be married at S. Margaret’s Church you must either be resident in the parish or be on the Electoral Roll of the Church or

have a significant connection with S. Margaret’s.

Both parties must be previously unmarried or widowed i.e. Not divorced - if one party has been divorced please feel free to contact Fr. David to discuss a blessing following a civil marriage.

Both parties must be present together to book a wedding you will need to bring photo ID, proof of nationality (passport or birth certificate) and proof of address. A non returnable deposit of £50 is required before a date can be confirmed and you should have a confirmed date before you make arrangements for reception venues, Honeymoon bookings etc.
