Safeguarding

The  Revised Parish Safeguarding  Policy was  approved  and adopted by the Parochial Church  Council  on the  18th January  2017 and  has been  re-adopted at each subsequent  Annual Parochial Church Council Meeting.

The Parish positively encourages  work with our young  people through the work of our Junior Church and Uniformed Organisations which enables us to work with children from within the Church family as well  as children from the wider Parish Community.

The Policy  applies  to those who use the Canon George   Community and Parish Hall  and all Groups have either adopted the Parish Safeguarding Policy or have their own Policy, which  has been checked by the Parish Safeguarding Officer.

The  Oldham Foodbank, which operates under  the Parish Charity Registration is subject to the Parish Safeguarding Policy.

If you are concerned   that someone you know is at risk of, or is being abused or presents a risk to others, please seek advice from  a Safeguarding Adviser or if necessary  report the matter to the Local  Authority Social  Services Department or the Police without  delay.
